ICE BREAKING
Ice Breaking is the story of artist Leonor Anthony’s voyage to one of the most remote frontiers on Earth. Alongside twenty-seven artists, scientists, scholars, twelve crew members, and an elderly husky named Hidalgo, she set sail through the Svalbard archipelago, reaching nearly 81° latitude. Each day revealed a new fjord, a pristine landscape untouched by time, as the group ventured across icy waters under the watch of polar bear guards. Cut off from civilization, time itself faded away. What remained was presence—pure, transformative, and humbling. Ice Breaking captures Leonor’s awakening in the Arctic and the profound responsibility she carries home: to tell the story of a sacred, vanishing world.
